We revisit the Great War Mod in Hearts of Iron 4. With popular mods like Kaiserreich, I figured we should just try out our own alternative history for WWI. Will the Central Powers finally succeed? Or will history repeat itself with Wonder Woman saving the day for the Entente again?

- The Brazilian Civil War was a civil war fought between the Dark Brazilian Empire and socialist rebels in Brazil between 1957 and 1962. The war ended with the Empire's victory. With the onset of the Cold War in 1947, Brazil remains as a neutral country. This gives room to several republican and socialist movements throughout the country during the 1940s and 50s.
- In 1874, on May 14, a plague arises, which does not know the reason and how it arose, however, the plague managed to kill more than the Civil War, and killed even 1/5 of the world, reducing the world population drastically, scientists named it 'Unum Magnum', better known as Prague of the 4 Years (because of the duration of the German Civil War.

(News Articles).Interesting Subreddits. I played Brazil once, and wow it was boring. Brazil civil war was done in like a week since rebels have almost no troops.
La Plata was much weaker than me, everybody else in South America was a total pushover, but fabrication timers between one war and another prevented any other action from happening. First real action started when fighting CSA and Entente together past Panama Canal in a 3-way fight.I suspect La Plata would be similar experience.Should South American minors somehow band together or with some major faction for protection by event if someone is rampaging through South America?Should Brazil civil war be made a bit less trivial? (by adding 3rd side or making them closer to 50:50 by some militia spawns)?.
Reclaim the BirthrightFollowing the revolution in Britain, the Royal Family fled to Canada, along with the Royal Navy, some British Army regiments, parts of the British Government, and various other exiles. Now residing in Canada, they build their strength and plan their return to Britain.
The King-Emperor, as he styles himself still, has ruled for 26 years now, assuming control in 1910 over the vast British Empire, an Empire on which the sun could never set, but these past 26 years have been one tragedy after another for the King-Emperor- losing a war to his cousin, the death of his youngest son, John, and the final exile of the British monarchy to Canada, privately noted as 'a frozen prison' by the King-Emperor. At last, it seemed as the sun had set on the British Empire, and a sense of hopelessness pervaded through to King George's once stoic nature. The years since 1925 have seen the King-Emperor's health grow steadily worse through a mixture of stress and depression, causing Prince Edward to assume more duties from the sick King (much to his chagrin).King and Emperor of the British Empire at the start of the scenario. Having reigned during the twin humiliations of defeat in the Weltkrieg and exile after the 1925 Revolution, George V is a broken man who has little hope or energy left to devote to restoring the Windsors' lost glory.: Despite Kaiserreich being an alternate history setting in which Britain's history is very different from OTL, his death is a scripted event which happens roughly at the same period (end of January 1936.).: King George V is dying and is preparing to have his son Edward succeed him.: In-universe, George's reign is hopelessly marred by two major defeats. First, he led the United Kingdom to defeat in the Weltkrieg, and second, he led the United Kingdom to defeat and exile against the syndicalist Union of Britain. After these defeats, for the remaining 11 years of his reign, he lacks the political capital to even seriously begin preparations to reclaim the birthright, and the British government-in-exile considers his reign a time of sorrow.: To a Dominion of Canada campaign, since the whole National Focus tree is locked until his death.: King George dies two to three weeks after the game begins, making way for his son, Edward to make his mark on history.Edward VIII. Edward of Windsor, with the passing of his father, 'King-Emperor', George V, was crowned in a lavish ceremony in Ottawa.
The young monarch, notably solemn upon his enthronement, inherited an Empire undoubtedly a shadow of its former glory, and a kingdom occupied by syndicalist revolutionaries. Undeterred, King Edward maintains, above all else, the desire that the banner of the United Kingdom again proudly fly above the British Isles.Though only Prince of Wales at the beginning of the scenario, Edward VIII swiftly succeeds his father to the throne and serves as the pivotal figure for the British government in exile. Where his father was broken by his two great defeats, Edward has instead become vengeful, driven by a desire to make a triumphant return to the British Isles and see the Syndicalists (and, ultimately, the German Empire) pay for what they've done. Though his natural sympathies lie with his fellow Exiles, he has to walk a fine line between his high-minded ambitions and the concerns of the Dominions' native political establishments, which often have pressing concerns of their own closer to home.: Edward is explicitly described as an ambitious man, and at least from a syndicalist or otherwise anti-monarchist perspective, his ambition to reclaim the birthright is decidedly evil.
Kaiserreich Avoid Civil War
Even from a more pro-monarchy perspective, his ambition to reclaim the birthright is pretty much all-consuming and he mostly sees Canada and her people as little more than a tool in his quest to reclaim the throne his father was deposed from. A legendary figure and hero of the Mexican Revolution, Emiliano Zapata was elected as the Mexican President in 1932 on the platform of continuation of the people's revolution and recovering Mexico's economy.: A rather unsympathetic example. He can cede power to a supposedly democratic government but it is heavily implied to be oligarchical.: A classic example of this trope. As Dictator can either establish a society built on Capitalist principles, effectively turning Mexico into a, or create a reactionary society built on traditionalist principles.: Garza has a chance to ally with, and he's shortly repaid when their Goldshirts surround his palace, and depose him from power.: To Calles.
Despite being on opposite ends of the political spectrum they are both power hungry generals who can seize power in a coup and establish themselves as the military dictator of Mexico.: As a traditionalist, Garza will actively crack down on leftists and ban unions.: The military junta holding onto power will trigger the Campesinos War from the socialist remnants, draining the country's powers and having the possibility of eventually overthrowing the government.Plutarco Calles. 'The attempt on the Empire has left its scars, but our resolve has never been stronger!' Gustavo Dodt Barroso is the leader and presidential candidate of the Brazilian Integralist Action (AIB), and a highly influential political author. Barroso is strongly nationalist and anti-Syndicalist, and his loud anti-Semitism had also garnered controversy around him.: A completely abnormal example: after Barroso becomes the president, he rewrites some laws to legally restore the Empire, and soon relinquishes all Presidential powers to Emperor Pedro III so Pedro can rule as an all-powerful monarch for the Integralist Organic Empire.
